August Card Deals: Highest-ever Sign-up Gifts For Citi, StanChart, DBS (updated)

Imagine telling someone this time last year that in August 2021, we’d not be able to dine out or hang out in more than groups of two. Wild.

Here are some great card deals for August while we twiddle our thumbs and wait for things to get better.

Summary

  • DBS’s highest-ever $300 offer is back
  • Citi now offers a $599 Dyson Supersonic HairDryer
  • StanChart’s highest-ever $300 offer is ending 4th August 2021 Ended!
  • CIMB is now offering $130; a tad higher than last month’s promo

2021 has been great for credit card offers at least. DBS and StanChart are offering the highest-ever gifts of $300 cash for you to get your first card with them. Citi is aggressive as usual with $350 of cash gift, and now even offering a $599 sign-up gift: a Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer.

For applications that start by asking you for your email, make sure you note down the application number and fill up the form found in your email after application to ensure you get your sign-up gift. For DBS applications, make sure to use the promo code found below during the sign-up process.

Sign-up gifts typically take a few months to be disbursed, but a little wait is surely fine for gifts as attractive as these.

Some card recommendations from each bank

You can head over to sethisfy.com/cards for more choice, but here are what I’d recommend as your first card from each bank:

  • StanChart Unlimited Cashback card and CIMB World MasterCard both give unlimited 1.5% cashback
