Insane: Get $300 Cash Just to Sign Up Citibank Cards – First-year Annual Fee Waiver, No Minimum Spending

Don’t have a Citibank card? That’s about to change. How does getting $300 sound? It’s a really insane offer, and there is no spending required, and annual fees are waived for the first year. This is practically a free $300 lunch. Now, this isn’t even in cashback; you’ll get the money transferred directly to your bank via PayNow.
Offer is valid until 29th Feb, and existing cardholders get $30. Still a pretty decent meal.

What card should you get?
Update 14th Feb 2020
Below was written when all cards had a $300 gift. Citi Cash Back + Credit Card gives $350 (until 19th Feb), and that should be your first card, and you can then explore the below ones to get $30 each.
I should get around to reviewing some of Citi’s cards as quite a few of them are essential to every veteran mile chaser’s arsenal, but here are some mini-reviews so you can get your $300 asap:
Personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with Citi PremierMiles Visa. It gives you 1.2 mpd on nearly any transaction, which is not fantastic but there are cases where you just can’t always get 4 mpd. It also comes with free Priority Pass membership, which allows the cardholder two lounge entries per year. Airport lounges are awesome. Free lounge visits are even better, and now you get $300 cash to go with it.
If you are serious on chasing miles, you can also consider CitiRewards which gives 4 mpd on almost anything you can transact online, plus retail spending at places like TANGS. It was my MVP of 2019 and 2018 for miles, and it will likely remain a solid choice for mile cards.

Offer is valid until 29th Feb, so do read the terms and conditions (not there’s a lot there) and sign up quickly.
