GXS FlexiCard: No Income Requirement, No Interest, No Foreign Transaction Fees
Income requirements, high interest, and all kinds of fees — these are probably what come to mind when people talk about the negative side of credit cards. Because of these downsides, I’ve come across friends and relatives who would rather use a debit card, even for things like their travel expenditure.
It’s thus good that GXS FlexiCard has some unique features that may make this group of people change their minds, and even those who are deep in the credit card rewards game may find this card very useful for their holiday spend.

No minimum income required
When it comes to the world of credit cards, I have often thought about how unfair it is — nearly every credit card requires at least S$30,000 annual income, with a few even requiring six-digit yearly salaries. Only those who earn a certain amount get to benefit from credit cards while those with lower or irregular income don’t enjoy the same perks.
GXS FlexiCard is one of the rare few credit cards that doesn’t require any minimum income at all. You just need to be aged between 21 and 55 years old and a Singaporean or Permanent Resident to apply for the card, making it very accessible to those without income like students, or those who don’t have payslips like freelancers and gig workers.
The credit card hence comes with a lower credit limit of S$500 per month which is a double-edged sword of sorts. It isn’t quite possible to make larger expenses on the card, but it also does make sure that cardholders keep their spending in check.

No interest and low minimum payment amount
While credit cards are notorious for their high interest rates if you pay late or miss your payment, GXS FlexiCard does not charge interest. Instead, it has two types of fees payable only if payment is not made in full — a Flexi Fee of S$5 or a Late Fee of S$50.
To be perfectly clear, there are zero fees if payment is made in full each month. However, if full payment isn’t met and only the minimum payment of S$15 is made, cardholders will just need to pay a S$5 Flexi Fee to rollover their balance to the next month. If the minimum payment is not paid at all, a S$50 Late Fee will be charged.
GXS FlexiCard is hence generally more forgiving than many other credit cards that require at least S$50 or 3% of the statement balance for the minimum payment, and they can charge as much as S$100 in late fees and high interest of over 25% p.a. Despite this, you should always pay your credit card bill in full. Such fees are expenses you do not want to incur, nor should you build a disastrous habit of rolling over credit card debt.
No foreign transaction fees…
Talking about fees we should avoid, the GXS FlexiCard does not charge any foreign transaction fees. Unlike many credit cards that charge at least 3% foreign transaction fee, GXS FlexiCard is something you can use overseas without worrying about inflating your travel expenses.
… And there is still cashback!
In addition to no foreign transaction fees, GXS FlexiCard users can look forward to unlimited instant cashback of up to S$3 each time they make an eligible transaction of at least S$10. This is regardless of whether the transaction is done locally or overseas, but I think it is particularly compelling for overseas spend since cards that give rewards on overseas spend also usually impose foreign transaction fees. With GXS FlexiCard, you are getting cashback on top of enjoying the lack of foreign transaction fees when you spend with the card overseas.
Plus: Additional 8% cashback and bonus rewards until 30th June 2025!

Even better, GXS Bank is currently giving a huge 8% cashback when you do overseas in-store spending with the card. This is capped at S$40 cashback and it is on top of the usual unlimited instant cashback! If you’re going for holiday soon, get the card quick as this promo is set to end 30th June 2025.
This isn’t the first time GXS Bank has held such a campaign, so even if your next holiday can’t make it in time for this deadline, I would personally still get the card in case another promo comes along. To make the deal sweeter, use my code SETH877 to get an easy sign-up reward of S$20 cashback when you make just one eligible transaction of at least S$10.
