Best High-Interest Bank Savings Accounts in Singapore (2025)

If you’re looking for the best high-interest bank savings accounts in Singapore in 2025 and beyond, you’ve found the right article. With banks cutting rates multiple times in the past year, trying to get more interest on our savings is getting more difficult.

Nonetheless, there are still decent accounts to use and here is an overview of the best bank accounts available as well as tools for you to pick the best savings account for yourself.

🏆 Best Bank Account 2025: Standard Chartered Bonus$aver Account with 5.55% p.a. effective interest

Bonus$aver is an easy pick for Bank Account of the Year 2025 not just for its high interest rate, but also for how long it held its rates while other accounts slashed rates one by one.

Its conditions are not onerous to meet either, with pretty standard salary crediting (yes, there is a “hack”) and card spend requirements that other high-yield bank savings accounts require.

There’s also an Invest requirement, and as much as I often warn people to be careful when buying products from banks, this category is easily and cost-efficiently achieved because StanChart has some portfolios they offer with 0 sales charge. There is also no requirement to hold the funds, though this will change from January 2026 onwards so if you’re reading this in December, you have a short window of time to qualify for bonus interest under less stringent terms.

Moving into 2026, the bank has announced a really demure drop to the account’s interest rates — Bonus$aver will earn a realistic 4.55% p.a. effective interest from 1st January 2026 onwards. This is still by far the most generous rate any local savings account is offering. Refer to this article for a guide, and stay subscribed for an updated one coming soon to tackle the slightly changed requirements.

Lastly, there’s even a sign-up promo, which is kinda insane when you consider how even accounts with far lower interests don’t offer much in terms of welcome gifts.

⭐️ Best For Fresh Funds: HSBC Everyday Global Account with monthly promos

HSBC EGA has been offering monthly promos for as long as I can remember, and the rates are often very competitive. For instance, the latest promo in December 2025 gives up to 2% p.a. inclusive of the base interest for fresh funds. If you stack the promo with HSBC Everday+ Rewards programme, you can even get 3% p.a. in total.

This is a decent option for those who need a place for funds without much conditions, or for those who have exceeded the optimal balance amounts for their high-interest savings accounts. It’s also a great option for those who have a “merry-go-round strategy” where they cycle funds back and forth different accounts each month to keep the funds “fresh”.

A very worthy mention for another bank to place fresh funds with would be GXS’s promo for its Pockets where one could get S$45 cashback for every S$10,000 of fresh funds deposited. It’s equivalent to a bonus interest of more than 4% p.a. (if held to 31st January 2026), and that’s on top of the base 1.18% p.a. interest one can get from the Saving Pocket!

That promo has ended as of 23rd December 2025 (which is why you really need to stay subscribed for good deals like this), but if you have missed the promo, the digital bank is still offering S$40 cashback for every S$10,000 deposited until 31st December 2025.

😌 Fuss-free Savings Account: UOB Stash if you want as few conditions as possible

If you can’t (or don’t want to) satisfy conditions, UOB Stash is probably your best bet. The account has only one requirement — maintain or increase your monthly average balance compared to the preceding month, and you can get the account’s interest rates. The most optimal amount here would be S$100,000 monthly balance for 1.50% p.a. effective interest, though you can get around 1.30% p.a. with S$71,000 of balance.

It’s worth noting that just completing the Invest category with Bonus$aver can get you 2.55% p.a. interest for the next 6 months even without completing the Salary or Spend categories.

You should also look at other bank accounts that may suit your needs better depending on your balance amount and requirements you are able to fulfil. That’s made easy with my comparison tool for high-yield savings accounts and fuss-free savings accounts:
