The annual fee is waived for the first year and you can request for fee waivers in subsequent years (or cancel after 6 months if you no longer need the card).

Ideas to meet the spend requirement

The S$800 minimum spend is relatively low for a big S$500 welcome reward, but if you have issues meeting this figure within 60 days, one of the quick and easy ways is to buy supermarket vouchers such as those from Sheng Siong, Giant or NTUC FairPrice. By buying vouchers you are able to hit the spend requirement quickly, and you are free to use the vouchers over the 1 to 2 years they are valid for.
